《榮譽勳章：空降神兵》謹守此系列之主要宗旨，忠實及精確地呈現史實，並讓玩家以嶄新的方式體驗二戰FPS遊戲 – 也就是完整的互動式空降體驗 – 重新定義此系列產品。
玩家在遊戲中將扮演82空降師的上等兵波依德．崔維斯（Boyd Travers），參與歐洲的大小戰役。從處境困難的西西里島出發，到在德國境內體驗戰勝喜悅，每個任務皆從敵後陣線展開，並伴隨緊張和完整的互動式空降過程。從空中俯瞰整個軍事行動，然後控制你的降落傘挑選你的著陸點。著陸之後，運用你的感官評估地勢。還有種類繁多的寫實、可自訂化武器供你運用，每種武器有明顯不同特性。在這能讓你隨意遊走的FPS世界中，選擇你的道路。
